a letter

Dear America,

We've been together for two decades and you've always had an impressive arsenal of surprises up your sleeve:
Friendly strangers. Breathtaking landscapes, unfathomably vast and varied. Magnificent cities. Free refills. Huge portions. And that tipping game of yours - getting customers to pay staff wages? Genius! (and cheeky!)

A lot of folks think you're the greatest country in the world, even if they've never left your shores. It's oddly endearing. Encourage more of them to wander the globe, they'll come back to you with minds brimming with inspiration.

You make everyone believe they could become a millionaire by 30 with just a bit of effort, and guess what? Many do! I admire your unabashed optimism and confidence – you've got charisma, baby!

One conundrum persists – why oh why, America, do you wear shoes indoors? That one is still a head-scratcher.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all your kindness, the doors you've opened, the adventures we've shared together, and the ones that still await us.

America
